Low-tide water levels; rivers near Astoria

    Greetings,

I'm going with friends to Warrenton this weekend to do some paddline.  We were thinking of either the Lewis and Clark, or Young's River.  It looks like low tide is around Noon on Saturday, which is smack in the middle of when we hoped to be on the water.

Does anybody have a feel for whether these streams bottom out into mud flats at low tide?  We were also considering Young's Bay, but have the same question.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Michael Newton

    Update ...

We paddled the mouth of the John Day (the one just upstream from Astoria) on Saturday.  Even at low tide, there was plenty of water.  We paddled out into the Columbia, then downstream ... all good.
