Full Name::
Jim Clute
Narrative::
South Portlanders - Avoid the Rose Quarter I-5 road closure traffic debacle to the north & get out on the water! Come paddle with Jim on his first mentor paddle (supported by Steve Blackwood!). This should be a relaxed paddle launching from Cedaroak Boat Ramp, paddling up the Willamette past Goat Island and perhaps continuing to the Abernethy I-205 Bridge & Sportcraft boat launch area (with a glimpse toward Willamette Falls), then paddling downstream to the confluence of the Clackamas and exploring a short way up its currents before returning downstream to Cedaroak. Distance approx. 5 miles. The Willamette is cooling but still reasonably warm. At the time of posting, a chance of intermittent light rain showers was forecast. Please monitor the weather & bring appropriate clothing.
