Full Name:: Ken Sund Narrative:: Are you ready to take on the ocean? This is the paddle for you. If you are wanting to get into the surf and learn how to do it safely. This paddle will get you into the surf and show you how to be safe and keep yourself safe from Injury. Everyone who paddles in the ocean has to learn how to deal with the dynamic conditions that are part of the ocean. This paddle will focus on reading the water. How to enter the surf and how to get out of the surf. How to stay safe in the surf. You will learn how to rescue yourself and how to assist others. The surf is a demanding and challenging place to paddle. Participants need to be in good physical condition and be able to get in and out of their boats. This is cold water and we will be getting wet. Proper emersion wear with layers is required. A helmet is also required. This is your opportunity to start paddling the ocean. It is listed as a L3 but it is geared for a L2 paddler. When you sign up you will be wait listed and then approved by Ken. Take that next step to paddling the beautiful ocean on our coast.
