Full Name:: Paige Light-Powell Narrative:: Come play in the currents for a fun skills day. We'll launch from the paddle boat launch at Clackamette park, on the Clackamas River. If the current is friendly, we may practice a bit on the eddyline just below the island under the bridge. Then we'll paddle up the Willamette River to a sandy beach for some rescue and bracing practice. Everyone will get wet here, this is the time to practice! Next on up to the falls to practice entering and exiting the bigger flow. Some c turns, s turns, and ferrying, taking turns in the eddy for some dynamic rescues practice. Once we're all tired out, we'll float back down to Clackamette Park. It's 1.25 miles up to the falls from Clackamette, forecast is sunny and warm, high of 90, current water temp is 72. Immersion wear is not required, but you may want something if you get cold. I'll be wearing a shorty wet suit. Helmets are required, and bring a tow belt if you know how to use it.
If you don't have a helmet, reach out to Paige as she has a couple of extras.
