Narrative::
Please join me for a paddle up the Willamette River next Wednesday. We'll launch from Willamette Park in Portland and paddle to Geo. Rogers Park in Lake Oswego. Our meet time is 9 am with a launch at 9:30 am. Tides will be in our favor with a flood tide beginning around 8 am and an ebb tide starting around noon. We'll paddle by some floating homes, under a bridge, past Elk Rock Island and under a train trestle before arriving at George Rogers Park where we'll take a short break before heading back to our launch. Total distance will be about 10 miles. Weather is forecast to be partly sunny with a temp around 78°. It has every indication to be a pleasant day on the water. Restrooms are available at both parks. I suggest you use the Parking Kitty app at Willamette Park. The rate is $1 per hour.
