Narrative::
This is a visit to Marry Island and an exploration of the east shore of South Thormanby Island. The trip will paddle along the developed shoreline south to a point north of Reception Point crossing to Merry Island. After exploring Merry Island a crossing to Long Bay camp site on South Thormanby. The paddle will explore the coves and points along Simson Provincial Park. We will explore the landing sites for brakes at Long Bay, Simson Central, and Pebbly Beach. After Pebbly Beach we will cross over to Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park and then back to Coopers Green.

Current information::
During the Sunshine Coast event the tide pattern functionally a single daily low and high. Low tide is at 10:15 @ 3.4 feet and flood is to the high at 18:15 @ 14.6 feet. The current is from the SE until 18:15 when it goes slack. The current heading is to the northwest through the mainland South Thormanby channel.

The paddle will launch before low to take advantage of the slack paddling south to Marry Island after which the paddle will ride the flood to the return crossing to Smuggler Cove Marine Park.
