Narrative::
We will begin our paddle at Willamette Park in West Linn, following the west side of the Willamette before crossing over to the narrows. Water height is projected to be 57-58 feet, participants should be comfortable paddling in current. When we are done playing in the narrows we can come around to Rock Island to look for a spot to take a snack break. We will then return to our launch point. This is estimated to be about a 6-mile paddle.
We'll meet and launch at the main/motorized launch unless there is a lot of traffic.
Please arrive by 9:30 am and be ready to launch at 10 a.m. Water temperature is currently 52 and dropping, air temperature projected to be in the 50s once the sun is up, so immersion wear is required. Weather updates will be sent prior to the trip. If we cancel due to conditions at the narrows, we will plan to meet at cedar oak boat ramp for some cold water skills practice.
