Activity Title:: Getting Comfortable in the Water: Fun with Rescue Practice
Date of Activity:: 9/20/2025
Narrative:: Come join Peggy Liggit and Brian Stewart as we explore ways to feel more comfortable and confident outside of our kayaks. Yes, that's right - we are going to intentionally be getting out of our boats and back in again. If you are new to self- and assisted-rescues, this class is for you. We'll meet at Willamette Park West Linn and paddle upstream to a quiet bay/cove and practice getting out and back into our kayaks. Dry suits are mandatory with appropriate base layers to accommodate your level of comfort in mid-60 degree water. Helmets are also recommended with rescue practice. This is a Level 2 paddle and all participants need to bring a sprayskirt.
