Activity Title:
West Linn Wet Wednesday
Date of Activity:
9/3/2025
Narrative:
The Portland part of the Willamette is a bit green so lets move this (perhaps last of the summer) Wet Wednesday to West Linn and go up to the Narrows
Meet at the kayak launch in West Linn right by the confluence of the Tualitin and The Willamette. We will paddle up the West side of the river, go up into the islands, and find a nice deep calm spot to have some water fun (for those that want).
The Narrows is always a scenic and interesting place and the water should be nice and warm still in the slow moving areas up there.
Bring a snack and water and you may want to wear a light wet suit if you plan on taking a rescue swim. (though I think I will try it without).
If you have a Helmet, bring it. If you have a tow line and want to practice with it, bring it too.
