Full Name: Nicholas Marshall
aNarrative: Enjoy the scenery and play in the waves at Cascade Head on this L2 paddle on the Ocean. Currently, the forecast calls for low swells and low wave energy. We will paddle down the Salmon River and stop on the beach for an in-person assessment of the conditions. Depending on the in-person assessment, we will decide to either play in the surf or stay near the river mouth, where the waves are smaller. After a break for lunch, there will be an opportunity to practice rescues and continue to play in the waves. We expect to be off the water by 1pm.

This paddle is intended to be no more than a level two trip. The conditions listed are possible conditions to expect for a coast paddle. It is impossible to gauge the conditions of the day until that day and up until the decision to launch is made. If the forecast changes, updates will be posted.
