Narrative:
Join Dave Smith and me to take advantage of what looks to be a beautiful summer day for a trip on the Willamette from Rogers Landing in Newberg. Some of you may not have paddled this stretch of the river before; we will be heading upriver to the confluence with the Yamhill River where we will take a lunch break before returning to our launch site. This trip goes through mostly rural and agriculture area and doing a weekday trip we should not have much in the way of other boat traffic. Very little current and water temperature of 74 degrees so no immersion protection required. Total distance will be about 9 miles. Should be a great day on the water.
Please bring lunch/snacks/water. There are bathrooms at Rogers Landing and parking is free.
