Narrative: A kayak trip on the Chehalis River. Starting at the F Street boat launch in Cosmopolis Wa. There is a nearby Chevron Station with clean restrooms. After paddling a short distance upstream from the F Street boat launch we will be leaving the industrial area and then entering the “Chehalis River River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve”. Continue paddling upstream in the Chehalis River for about 3-1/2 miles past Sand Island we will find the entrance to Blue Slough. A Water Access Site is located about 2 miles further up Blue Slough where we will stop for a lunch break. It reported that there are restrooms at the Blue Slough water access site. This will be our turn around point for the trip back to F Street boat launch.
