OOPS Friends and soon to be friends. These meetings are open to anyone interested in OOPS.

Josie Iselin is a Bay Area artist, author, book designer, and ocean activist who has recognized the power of art and storytelling in scientific communications.

Join Josie as she takes us on her journey from making algal imagery, to writing and designing various books on seaweed, to her current project, a webstory called The Mysterious World of Bull Kelp.  Josie works with Above/Below, a collective committed to telling kelp forest stories.  She will walk us through the development of this comprehensive website about bull kelp.

Also hear from Gay Lewis, OOPS Librarian, about the new OOPS library online program.

Josie is joining us via Zoom so this meeting will be virtual only. We WILL NOT gather in-person at the Lucky Lab. If you already registered as an in-person participant, that's ok. No need to change anything - you will still get reminders and the Zoom link the day before the meeting. Zoom is subject to technical issues so please be patient with your all volunteer team making these and all OOPS activities possible.

We'll open the Zoom room at 6:30 for casual conversation.  We'll start with the main presentation at 7:00 and wrap up around 8:00.  If you want to join, you MUST register at least 24 hours before the meeting or risk not receiving the link to join the meeting.
