Columbia River exploration of Explore Crims and Gull Islands, L2

A great Columbia River paddle where we explore Crims and Gull islands and the beautiful slough that lies between them. We will leave the modern Willow Grove Park boat ramp and travel down river to cross over to Gull Island. There we will explore the beautiful and serene slough between Gull and Crims islands. After having lunch along the slough, we will travel around Crims island along the Bradbury slough on our way back to the launch site.

Paddle distance will be about 12 statute miles (10.4 nm) and about five hours total. Weather is forecast to be mild with light winds, no rain, and temperatures in the upper 40s. There are bathrooms at Willow Grove Park and no parking fees.

Meet no later than 9 AM (earlier if you need more time) so that we can have a 9:45 AM shore talk and launch at 10 AM. We will return around 3 PM.

Drysuits are required. Bring your VHF radio and towline if you have them. Hot drink/food is recommended.
