Lacamas Lake & Lacamas Creek, L1

This is a L1 - L2 trip on Lacamas Lake in Camas , WA. We will meet at Lacamas Park in Camas, WA in time for a safety talk at 9:45 with a launch at 10:00. The paddle will take us north by west with a predicted north east wind of six mph, scattered showers with temperatures in the low 40's. After transiting the lake (+/- 2 miles)we will continue to follow Lacamas Creek. The creek is not maintained but the trail that abuts it is so some removal of downfalls can be expected but not guaranteed. In any case, it is a fun paddle to explore. We will get as far as we can and then return to the launch which has a kayak platform and a ramp. Not planning on a lunch stop. +/- three hours or so depending on scenic interruptions. I would expect folks to be wearing drysuits and allowing sufficient time to, yuh know, put them on.
