Take advantage of the combinations of a midday high tide and relatively high water on the Columbia to explore Lord and Walker Islands, on the Oregon side opposite Longview.  Launch at Dibblee Beach near Rainier. ($5.00 parking) Paddle downriver, poking around the sloughs and back channels on the Islands. After lunch on Walker Island return to Dibblee, exploring more narrow channels along the way. Paddling distance 8 to 10 miles.
