Narrative:Join Bob Freshman and Steve Blackwood for and exploration of the Willamette River outside of Newberg. We will paddle upstream past the confluence of the Yamhill River. The water levels have come down to reasonable level but still high enough to provide us with plenty of interesting areas to explore. It is about 10 miles round trip; the second half will be downhill. Air is still cool so dry suit with good underlayment is required. Something warm to drink is a good idea too. Rodger Landing County Park has restrooms.
