Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group if you intend to wear a spray skirt.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.

Narrative: Please join Mel Wishan and me for a breakfast paddle on the Willamette River to celebrate the arrival of fall. We'll meet at George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego about 8:15 am. Our plan is to launch by 9 am and head up river about 4 miles to Oregon City where we'll take out at the Rivershore Hotel for breakfast. We'll pass several small islands and the mouth of the Clackamas River along the way. Once we arrive, we can dine on their outdoor deck and have a full meal or just a warm beverage and pastry while we enjoy the river view. After breakfast, we'll head back to our launch enjoying a mild assist from the river. Water temps are dropping and expected to be about 60°. Full wet suit or a farmer john with a dry-top is required. Please bring wheels if you have them. There is a short portage to the water from the park. Teamwork will make it an easy launch and takeout. Restrooms are available and there are no parking fees.
