Registration for Event Trips is done at the event. Wet Exit Certification Required. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may ask questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will communicate change to all participants before the trip. Narrative: Join Bob Freshman and me for a paddle to Trail Islands about a mile off the southern shoreline of Sechelt peninsula in the Strait of Georgia. We'll launch from Selma Park at 10 am., paddle west along the shoreline passing Sechelt on our starboard side and travel about 3.5 miles to west end of Trail Islands. We'll make the 1 mile crossing to the cove on northeast side of westernmost island, where we'll take out for lunch. Then we'll continue circumnavigating the islands on their southern side to the easternmost island. We will then paddle north back to the shoreline, making the 1 mile crossing again, where we'll then head east back to Selma Park. Total Distance is about 9 miles. 3-4 hours on the water will be allotted for the trip.
