Please join Stuart Teicher and Dave Smith for a paddle up the Multnomah Channel to Kelley Point Park located at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. Total distance for the day will be about 12 miles. We'll launch at 10am from the Sauvie Island Boat Ramp located on the south west section of the Island. Parking is free there and no Sauvie Island parking permit is required. Kelley Point Park marks the half-way point for our trip and makes a scenic spot for lunch and relaxation. Our plan is to return to the launch by 3pm. At this time, weather for our trip is forecast to be showery with light winds. Nonetheless, we'll launch as planned absent threats of high winds and/or lightening. We'll watch for any significant change in conditions. Drysuits are required paddling gear. Restrooms are available at the launch.
