Lake Merwin - Level 1

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification (except for level 1 trips when the paddler is not using a spray skirt).  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.

We'll launch from Speelyai at 10:00 AM & head upstream to the picturesque Canyon Creek. There is less boat traffic during the week, plus at least half the trip is in a no-wake zone. The water temp will be perfect for anyone who wishes to practice wet exits/rescues, or playing games & working on strokes along the approx. 9 miles round-trip. There are plenty of spots for breaks & lunch near Canyon Creek. Vault & plumber toilets are available at the launch site & at Cresap Bay
