Narrative: I cannot tell a lie—you will paddle past many homes on this leg of the Deschutes River. But the views of Mt. Bachelor that seem to come from all different directions as you wind your way along the curvaceous path of the Deschutes makes up for that. This is an 11-mile trip, with enough current to make the miles seem much shorter. This is a shuttle trip. We will launch from River Bend Campground boat launch and take out at Besson Day Use Area. Simply put, this is a relaxing paddle in a beautiful area. We'll meet at Big River Campground/Gen. Patch Bridge (on the north side of the highway) at 9:45 a.m. to set up the shuttle.
